‘Tis the season for anxiety
Happy Sunday lovelies.
As the holidays come rolling in so do the stressors of gift shopping, get togethers, and school finals/work quarters ending.
If you’re an extroverted/introvert like me the outgoing side of you has made glorious holiday plans, while the introverted side is planning your grand demise.
Here’s my personal how-to guide for surviving the holidays:
Excel Spreadsheets
All you non-business savvy people out there in the word excel brings on a certain form of anxiety within itself. Fear not for this is no fancy-schmancy formula do-dading, simply a way to make lists and keep them in the same place.
I made a list of all the gifts I’m getting people whether I ordered them receive them or have given them. Also made a list for all the parties I’m going to the date and what I need to bring. It’s an easy. An easy way to keep your holiday plans in check.
Buy Early and Buy Online
If you’re like me holiday shopping can be overwhelming one hour within leaves me exhausted and I made up a three hour nap. You’re not lovelies because the inter-webs has created a way to shop from your couch. This way you can also compare prices at different stores as well as look up gift ideas all in the comfort of your jammies. This way you can also not to fall prey to eye-catching store displays and marketing tricks. Pasty shop can update your Excel spreadsheets too:)
Remember what the holidays are all about
The holidays can be overwhelming and can leave you wanting to stay in your bed and watching Love Actually with a box of Milano cookies (guilty). The key is to remember why we go through all of this every year in first place. Holidays are about slowing down remembering those in your life that make everything worthwhile and treasuring those moments. Have that cup pot chocolate spend two hours talking to a loved one hug your cute niece or your furry friend. Be kind to yourself and others
